Double Stage Blowers
COVENT is able to offer double stage blowers for high pressure applications. The double stage pressure blower line was developed from our high efficiency, low noise single stage blowers with backward curved blades. These units include dual rotors mounted on a common shaft. The complete unit is mounted on a heavy duty, structural steel common base plate.
The double stage blowers are commonly used in municipal water treatment facilities, ore flotation units and industrial liquid treatment centers.
Performance can reach up to 30,000 acfm (51 000 m3/hr) and 240 in WG (6 000 mmWG).
On smaller blowers, the two rotors are mounted on either end of a double shafted motor and integrated on a common base.
Special Single Stage Blowers
For applications such as coal mills, COVENT have designed blowers with reinforced housings capable of withstand an explosion pressure of 150 psi (10 bar) inside the duct.
COVENT supplied 8 blowers to Roche Carolina, Monel construction with 100% gas tight construction and casings designed to 150 psi (10 bar)

- Blower casing is split for rotor maintenance and removal
- Volume control devices such as VIV (variable inlet vanes) and ILD (inlet louver dampers) reduce power consumption at reduced capacity operating points
