Available flow control dampers:
- ILD – Parallel Blade Inlet Louver Dampers
- VIV – Variable Inlet Vanes also known as Radial Dampers
- OLD – Opposed Blade Outlet Louver Dampers
Stainless Steel VIV
COVENT designs and manufactures all of the flow control devices used on our fans. This ensures high quality and predictable performance.
The ILD and OLD can be made with sealing bars for low leakage.
The VIV uses an external control ring located outside of the gas stream.
Conical VIVs are available on centrehung fans, reducing the distance between bearings, the shaft size and fan costs.
Dorsal Fins are available for high turndown applications with VIV control.
Key design features
Bearings are mounted on a bracket off the channel flanges. This reduces the affects of heat and dust on the bearings. For insulated dampers, the bearings are fully accessible without removing the insulation.
